Robert explains and demonstrates the fundamental physical movements that enable tension-free and expressive vibrato for all string players. The relationship of the fingers to the strings and the refined techniques for controlling resonance.

With staccato and spiccato, Robert explains the physics of the bow and how it relates to the string. He discusses bow-hand structures and techniques and how to easily control a slow and fast bounce (staccato).
